Hmm. I guess I haven't written about it yet. If I'm not mistaken, it was the 19th of July of 2003. Yup...just last, last Saturday. I walked around my university barefoot. I was wearing platforms at the time. The damn things fell apart right when I was at school. First the soles started peeling of the platforms. Dex bought me a tube of super glue so I could fix it. He says it's his donation for my shoes' reconstruction. Well, I'll be giving him a refund as soon as I see him. The platforms broke in half an hour later. They were beyond repair. I decided to throw them away. To make things worse, my cellphone was out of batteries. Thankfully I brought a charger with me, so I charged my cellphone battery and called for someone to send me decent footwear. I waited for my sandals for about an hour. Yes, barefoot. That day, my classmates and I were required to watch a play. When the play was done, it was raining hard. We were stuck there. Just another practical joke the world is playing on me. While I was waiting for my older brother to fetch me, I saw a little girl with a huge umbrella. She was wearing tattered clothes. She offered shelter under her big umbrella to every girl she saw. Jeez, anything just to profit from something, huh? I thought. Then the little girl walked away, holding her big umbrella for some girl. Then I looked at her feet. They were bare. Her soles touched the cold and wet street. I wished my platforms would self-construct and find their way to her. This entry which I took a little of my studying time for is for that little girl. It's the least I could do for her. Back to work. I have a paper due in a few hours.
